Short blog update tonight. A modelling friend and fellow blogger suggested a pose my E147 paired with a Pannier. How could I refuse! 😉
The Coach is pretty much finished minus painting. I’ve ordered paints for the interior, which is what I’ll address first.
In the meantime work is underway on another 74XX, this one will be 7428….quite a distinctive loco on the branch.
At some point I will do the blog post I promised after my last Wales trip, on the Cwm Prysor extension. It can be one for next weekend.

I wonder who that was then ? 🙂
Lovely, the coach looks great behind one of your panniers Tom, but I must admit that I was expecting a 74XX. These days I find a single coach train very attractive and even more so when a van or milk tank brings up the rear.
Couldn’t think who! 😉
Expecting a 74XX…..well I couldn’t have two in a blog post and leave out the lovely 57XX! I agree, there is something rather nice about the single coach train…. and in my case with a single presflo too in some cases! 🙂
That E147 looks very good indeed.
The tool/arm holding the 74xx looks very useful. Can I ask what brand it is please?
Hi There
I’m pleased with how E147 has turned out.
The tool arm is a Tamiya Paint Stand (I think). Sometime since I bought it.
Thanks for the info Tom, I’ll go hunting for one.
